Meet the VA - Bec Bostock of Virtual Satsuma Ltd

Updated: Apr 29

Hi, I’m Bec, owner of Virtual Satsuma Ltd. I support clients with a variety of tasks from business admin, accounts, marketing, Wix website, social media, email management and everything in between.

Who or what inspired you to become a Virtual Assistant?

No-one, I first heard about VAs approximately 25 years ago, and always had it in the back of my mind, if the opportunity ever presented itself.

Have you had any support starting up as a VA ?

No, I set-up in 2017, I worked it out for myself, from what I required to run a business to building my website.

What has been your highlight since starting your business?

Being my own boss, and being able to say no!

What was your biggest challenge?

I am hopeless at networking, so finding a way to grow my business without networking, which I have achieved.

What advice would you offer other new or aspiring VAs?

Read my blog… the industry is changing ALOT, this may not be for you.  Do your research and due diligence.

What tools/apps/software can’t you live without?

Currently loving metricool – but to be honest apps change daily

What is the ultimate goal for your business?

I achieved this the day I set-up to be my own boss – anything else is gravy.

Were there any times you wanted to give up? What kept you going?

No – never wanted to give-up, I enjoy my work/life balance too much.

What is next for you and your business?

I seem to spend a lot of time advising clients, my background in School Business Management helps hugely with this, so is it time to follow my own advice and niche into a OBM role?
