Virtual Assistant is such a vague term really! Many people think it’s the same as a Virtual Secretary, or a PA – and a lot of the time it is! – but really it can be anything that falls within your zone of genius, that you assist clients with, virtually!
For instance, when I first started, I specialised in working with PR agencies, offering them standard admin support tasks as well as more industry specific tasks. There are VAs specialising in all sorts of things, from services to industries to client demographics.
I recommend choosing no more than three zones of genius, and keeping your services and packages to within that. This way you can stick with what you love, what you are best at, and become known for that in your industry. (And there is some crossover within the zones, it’s not accidental!)
Hopefully, one or more of the below will spark excitement in you, and by the time you’ve finished reading you’ll have a clear idea of what your zone of genius is and what sort of VA you want to be!
